Mark Bryant's fitness journey began when in High School and is largely attributed to golf. He began playing competitively his freshmen year, and soon became obsessed, looking for any way to gain an edge. As one of the shorter hitters on his team, he started lifting in an attempt to gain distance of the tee. Though only a mediocre player when he began, through years of practice he went on to play Division II Golf at Assumption College where he lowered his scoring average to 73 by his Senior year, and helped lead the team to 3 tournament wins including a first-ever Conference Championship.

Wanting nothing more than to play professional golf, he continued playing after graduating but shortly thereafter burnt himself out and took a hiatus from the game for nearly 2 years. Concurrently, he was working as a Data Analyst for the Air Force, but eventually realized his calling wasn't a desk job. He discovered a joy in helping others through taking on a teaching and mentoring role at a local High School called The Summit Academy where he currently teaches math and coaches the golf team. Needless to say his love for the game has been rekindled.

Mark’s philosophy on fitness is to use fitness to play better golf, and golf to live a fuller life. These may seem mutually exclusive, but it's remarkable how one can improve their swing just by improving how their body moves and feels. Furthermore, golf does not need to detract from one's life. If not careful, an obsession with golf can quickly leave one in shambles, but if properly ordered and with the right perspective, the ability to practice intentionally, maintain a good headspace, and swing well on the course can translate into, and elevate every other area of life.
